Greene County school superintendent reports a significant amount of work has been completed on the high school/career academy building site.
The building pad itself has been finished. This involved cutting down the hillside on the west side of the site and moving in fill dirt on the east side of the site to raise the level of the east side of the building pad. Interior and exterior footings have been poured for the career academy and interior block walls for the career academy are now being built.
Pre-cast panels for the career academy exterior walls are currently in production. Plans are to begin setting panels for the career academy in the next two weeks.
Site work that is also underway includes the construction of retention ponds on the northeast and southwest areas of the site.
